Mountaineering
I am a professional mountaineer, having worked in the Bow Valley Provincial Park and Banff National Park for 6 seasons. I specialize in rock-craft and river paddling, and have logged over 180 outtripping days. I have lead 8 expeditions in the Rockies from Alaska to Kananaskis Country. Additionally, I am a certified senior backpacking guide with Parks Canada and a certified Tandem and Solo canoe instructor by the Alberta Recreational Canoe Association (ARCA) and Paddle Canada.
My favourite location is the Yahatinda range in Clearwater County, located in the eastern slopes of Wapiti Mountain.
